A Ninja's Society
To start beginning Naruto you have to get down the basics, this includes starting jutsus, characters, chakra, and of course the ninja's society. Here is where I advise a beginner should start and then from here go to chakra, but anyone can go in any order. However for those of you that like my methods, here you go.
A Shinobi
First let's answer a very common question, what is a shinobi? A shinobi is first and foremost a career, then a lifestyle. What does the term shinobi mean? It is another way of saying ninja, which is a job in which people risk their lives to save others, or ninjas can do common chores to help others, like charity work. A shinobi is trained exclussively in a ninja academy, where they learn the basics, and are put into classes specifically designed for their traits. Then as ninja leave the academy they start missions, and eventually come up with their own nindo, or ninja way. This is usually a quote of their own that reflects their highest morals, and a ninja can have more then one.
Ninja Ranks
Ninja are always growing and reaching higher ranks, as soon as they're out of the academy they are a:
1)Genin-Ninja who do D and C-ranked missions. They have very low skills and abilities, but are still exceptional opponents.
2)Chuunin-Ninja who have showed skill in a contest called the Chuunin Exams, and the hokage has accepted them as a chuunin. These ninjas usually do C and B-ranked missions.
3)Special Jonin-Ninja who are exceptional in everything they do, from minor D-ranked missions, to A-ranked missions. They are dedicated to their careers and never give up.
4)Jonin-Ninja with great senses and are very brilliant. Their strength exceeds that of a normal ninja and are always striving for excellence, no matter how far it is away. They can do any mission, and will do so for the sake of the village.
5)Hokage-Very few ninja become hokage, this is the leaf village leader. They must protect the village with their lives and never give up, even if they're going to go to Hell for sticking up for what they believe.

Missions
Ninja do missions that are classified into different categories, to see which ninja do which missions please look above.
D-Ranked Missions:These include missions like finding lost pets, working on farms, etc.
C-Ranked Missions:These include missions like defeating wild animals, and protecting individuals who are not capable of getting from place to place.
B-Ranked Missions:These are missions where you fight shinobi on guarding missions.
A-Ranked Missions:These are very tough missions, where you fight very strong ninja of other villages. These missions also include some assassinations.
S-Ranked:These are missions where ninja infiltrate other villages, and sometimes take down the village. These are secret missions, no one can know about them.
